About
Windover
Windover Art Center is celebrating its
25th summer! Since 1981, Windover has offered unique art experiences for Maine
children. Nestled in the hills of Newburgh, Maine, Windover is
located on a 160 acre tree farm, with fields, a pond, woodlands,
mountain streams, and miles of hiking trails. Our facilities
include the Art Barn, the Pottery Studio, the Marlin Fitzwater Communications
Studio, the Visual Arts Studio, the Birch Tree Theatre,
the Photography Lab & Darkrooms, the Wood and Glass Shop, and the
pool and changing rooms. Windover is a non-profit
organization dedicated to children and the arts.

Our Philosophy
"There is much to learn, much to experience, and to
contribute through involvement. Each and every child is special
to us and we do everything possible to meet their individual
needs. Our philosophy is that people can develop their
creativity, practice making decisions and learn responsibility
while having fun in a caring cooperative community. We believe
that through learning to create and share in a peaceful camp
environment, children will develop the skills to transform the
greater community of the world."
